The concept of ‘Cleaning House’ can be fictional, poetic and symbolic, allowing each artist to create their own interpretation of the relationship between ‘house’ and identity.
Both domestic space and architectural interior space can be seen as metaphors for a personal and psychological realm where the home becomes a metaphor for the self.
The works in the exhibition include video, sound installations, sculpture, and photographic installations which reflect multiple perspectives on the concept of ‘home’.
